Why do you need it?

As eager as you are to start delivering your excellent services to your customer, it's important to have a Services Agreement to ensure that both you & the client are on the same page, and put in place important legal protections in case things don't go as planned.

Some services can easily be sold using Terms & Conditions and an online checkout. Sometimes a Services Agreement is the better option. Here's a comparison:

Services Agreement is best for:

➡ complex or highly customised services
➡ you send a unique proposal for every client
➡ detailed payment schedules based on milestones or hours logged
➡ high-value services (whatever that means in your industry)
➡ where you want each customer to individually sign their name to a contract to show they understand what's involved in working with you

On the other hand, Terms & Conditions are best for:

👉🏻 lower-value digital products/services
👉🏻 when customers purchase through a website checkout & agree your legal terms with a checkbox

BOTH are legally binding contracts.
BOTH protect your business.
BOTH include many of the same things (like payment terms, refund policy, what's included, etc)

They're just DIFFERENT. And they're used for different purposes.
